Robert Hamilton: Ward 1 Debate Thoughts

Last night a group of us attended a debate between Josh Goldberg and Tim Waters; they are running for Longmont City Council in Ward 1. What a wonderful contrast between two intelligent men. And this is my decision maker; the word "contrast".

Waters; they are running for Longmont City Council in Ward 1. What a wonderful contrast between two intelligent men. And this is my decision maker; the word "contrast".

Tim was intellectually sound with well-constructed answers. Josh was constantly name dropping. It seemed Josh was riding on the coattail of men and women who make things happen, I was a bit annoyed. Brenda pointed out the difference between name dropping and Josh's contact with people he has worked with for several years. It appears that Josh has a several year heads start; he knows who to work with, he doesn't have to learn the people and their thinking.

There is no learning curve, I want action now. Tim is a man I would love to set and talk with while Josh is doing the "heavy lifting".

Tim has many more years of life experience than Josh, But Josh's experience is in an area we need. Sorry, Tim, I really like you, but Josh is the man we need ..........Now.
