Hi Macie,

I had not heard of the Longmont Observer until Christi Yoder showed up on our Nextdoor neighborhood site explaining she is doing a series on homelessness in our community. Her first article was incredible, and her second one insightful, useful and thought-provoking. I watched the video made June 8 (I think that was the date) by the Chief Safety Officer. I found that to be one of the most informative and insightful interviews I've ever heard. It gave me some perspectives that had never occurred to me, and that I have ever heard before.

The effort you each make to offer news about so many important subjects regarding our community is really appreciated and valued.

I intend to support your online publication as often as I'm financially able to. The commitment it takes to run a voluntary publication that is so worthwhile definitely needs to be supported by the community. I appreciate the hard work, dedication and commitment of each of you.

Maybe I appreciate the hard work more than many because I worked for a newspaper in a small town in Western Colorado for awhile (years ago). Organizing stories, making deadlines, making the effort to provide forums that you sponsor...all of those things take so much time and energy. There is so much more that goes into any kind of publication, online or otherwise, that makes it unbelievably challenging.

Please know I join the many people in this community who are cheering you on, appreciating you and wishing each of you the best. Thank you all for what you are doing.
