Opinion: Judi Atwood--Opinion piece Steve Pittman on Corona Virus

I am responding to the opinion piece that Steve Pittman sent in to the Longmont Observer. I don't think it's important to blame the Corona Virus on any age I think whats more significant that globally and currently cases top 218,000 which is spreading quickly.

I am responding to the opinion piece that Steve Pittman sent in to the Longmont Observer.  I don't think it's important to blame the Corona Virus on any age  I think whats more significant that globally and currently cases top 218,000 which is spreading quickly.  The CDC has clearly defined the transmission of the virus is person to person.  The CDC has clearly defined that the spread of the virus can be Community Spread and done so before a person has symptoms.  For example lets say your on an airplane right before Honorable Jared Polis announced a State Emergency I would think it would be likely that a responsible person would inform others that they direct or indirect contact with that they were in a community confined area especially perhaps if it was places like China or US Cities on current lock down.
What should be addressed is being socially responsible by exercising social distancing which includes taking responsibility and being respectful to others when a person has personally chosen not to follow the personal recommendations of the CDC specifically informing those whom are at risk due to the actions of people whom don't care to take responsibility for their own actions.

It just so happens according to the CDC people that suffer the most with lung conditions are between the ages of 60 to 79.

So I don't think age is just a number - not when it comes to the Corona Virus the CDC is merely defining those at risk due to preexisting conditions which just so happens statistically and according to the CDC are older Americans.
