Longmont has a significant opportunity with the upcoming special election for the City Council Ward 1 representative. A person is running who is an internationally respected, highly competent individual with long term and deep ties to our city.

A long time and deeply involved resident of Longmont, Dr. Tim Waters is an expert at improving complex organizations. He was the president and CEO of McREL International, a widely admired consulting and research firm based in Colorado serving the United States, the Pacific Islands and Australia. He is the author of several of books and numerous articles focused on what works best to improve organizations. He was a very successful school district superintendent. He is sought out as a public speaker.

And, he is committed to helping to make Longmont the best city it can be for all of its citizens. He is dedicated to building bridges in our community to be sure all are heard and all are served. With all his other commitments, he finds time to tutor students two mornings a week in a local elementary school, volunteer at the Ute Creek Golf Course and assist in the junior golf program.

Longmont will be a better place for all when he is elected to the City Council.
