Longmont citizens in Ward 1 have the opportunity to greatly benefit all of Longmont by sending Tim Waters to serve on our city council. As many have done, I could go over the long list of what Tim has accomplished both locally and nationally as a teacher, superintendent of schools and CEO of an international educational research lab. Instead I want to focus on who Tim is.

I have known Tim Waters for close to 40 years. Our families have been friends, raised our children together, laughed, cried, traveled and prayed together. I can say with full confidence that Tim is a man of integrity who has spent his adult years working to make life better, safer, and more equitable for the people he has served.

Tim is both a life long educator and a life long learner. I assure you that Tim will fully research each issue that comes before the council and make decisions based on what would benefit Longmont and all of its citizens. Tim is a listener who carefully listens to what people have to say and asks questions to be certain he understands. Tim Waters is a man of his word, if he says it - you can bank on it. Tim has a history of bringing people together to identify and solve problems. He is a strong leader and Longmont would be fortunate to have him serve on our city council.
