U.S. distributed Indian films need the support of northern Colorado theater goers and Longmont plays an important part. Longmont is the geographical hub for Northern Colorado and because of that, we are home to many communities. One of them is a growing Indian community. Many are here because of our strong tech industry and some commute from Longmont to many of the surrounding cities.

Supporting our Indian community in Longmont is the Indian Association of the Rockies (IAOR) and the SV Groceries Indian Food and Spices at 2055 Ken Pratt Blvd. (Author's side note: They have great peanut brittle. I love peanut brittle and just gave myself a craving for peanut brittle by writing this.)

Indian films that get a United States distribution are primarily released at the Century 16 Aurora theater because of the large Indian community in Denver. There are many people in northern Colorado that want to see these movies but are unable to get to Aurora. Sometimes these Indian films will get released in Fort Collins, which is better but still quite a commute. We need a place in the middle that is not an hour drive away.

I am the YouTuber "Koricon Nala", you may have seen some of my American movie reviews here at the Longmont Observer. I also review Indian films and one of the people that have a hard time going to Aurora to see a movie.

One of the U.S. distributers is called CineGalaxy and they are partnered with Cinemark. The movie theater in Longmont is a Regal Theater and the closest Cinemark Theater is in Boulder. I talked with CineGalaxy and they agreed to book some Indian films at the Century Boulder Theater. This is great news for those of us in Longmont and other northern Colorado cities that want to have the ability to see these new releases.

For Cinemark to be able to book future movies we need people to go out and show their support by seeing them in the theater. If you are a fan of Indian cinema, and want to have the ability to see them locally in the future, then please spread the word so that people know they are now showing close to us. This weekend CineGalaxy has booked the action adventure Tamil film "Vivegam" starting Ajith Kumar. Showtimes can be found on the Cinemark website at www.cinemark.com/colorado/century-boulder
