Charles “Weldon” Chapman, 78, son of Emmett and Helen (Hitt) Chapman died in his home in Longmont, CO on Saturday, September 9, 2017.

Weldon, born July 12, 1939 in Fairfield, TX leaves behind his wife, Eun Jung, a brother, Nelson Chapman, his children Lori (Tom) DeDora, Daniel Chapman, and Steve (Cyndi) Chapman; his grandchildren, Kristy (Chad) Rawlings, Kelly (Brandon) Lindley, Karly (Brad) Eland, Elizabeth Chapman, James Chapman and Casey Chapman as well as 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Chapman.

Weldon was retired from Aerojet (Northrup Grumman) where he worked as an electrical engineer/staff physicist for many years. It was a field that provided both his profession and his passion. He loved his family and people in general and was a kind, loving and helpful friend to all. In addition he enjoyed sports, musicals, drafting, reading and writing.

His letters filled with words of wisdom, his genuine laugh and warm smile will be greatly missed.
