The 71st session of the Colorado General Assembly adjourned on May 9th. Below is the final status of bills that were still active as of the last recap. Not all bills are listed, only those where the Longmont representative is a primary sponsor. Bills previously introduced and died in committee are not listed in the current update.

SB18-039: Continue The Wildfire Matters Review Committee. The bill passed the House with amendments and was repassed by the Senate on May 3rd. Sent to the governor for signature.

HB18-1019: Kindergarten Through Twelfth Grade Accreditation Weighted Factors. The bill passed the Senate with amendments, was repassed by the House on May 9th, and sent to the governor for signature.

HB18-1211: Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. The bill passed both chambers and was signed into law by the governor on April 25th.

HB18-1210: Administrator Of Judicial Security Peace Officer Status. The bill passed both chambers and was signed into law by the governor on March 22nd.

HB18-1358: Health Care Charges Billing Required Disclosures. The bill was postponed indefinitely by the House Committee on Health, Insurance, & Environment.

HB18-1352: Oil And Gas Facilities Distance From School Property. The bill passed the House on May 01 and was then died in the Senate Committee on State, Veterans, & Military Affairs.

HB18-1155: Sunset Continue Physical Therapy Board Functions. The bill repassed both chambers and was sent to the governor for signature.

HB18-1258: Marijuana Accessory Consumption Establishments. The bill passed the House as a whole, was amended in the Senate and repassed the House on May 3rd, and was sent to the governor for signature.

HB18-1363: Recommendations Of Child Support Commission. The bill passed both chambers and was sent to the governor for signature.

HB18-1348: Child Welfare Information And Services. The bill passed both chambers and was sent to the governor for signature.

HB18-1346: Abuse Of Youth Under 21 In Care Of Institution. The bill passed both chambers and was sent to the governor for signature.

HB18-1319: Services Successful Adulthood Former Foster Youth. The bill passed both chambers and was sent to the governor for signature.

HB18-1307: Limit Access To Products With Dextromethorphan. The bill passed both chambers and was sent to the governor for signature.

HB18-1434: Safe2tell Program New Duties And Annual Report. The bill would require the safe2tell program to provide training, materials, and support to all schools in Colorado on school safety-related programs in the safe2tell program; provide technical assistance to schools and law enforcement on preventing misuse of the program; analyze and follow up with law enforcement to determine the outcome of reports made to the program; and prepare an annual report on the previous year’s activities and recommendations for changes. The bill passed both chambers and was sent to the governor for signature.
