The Longmont Public Library’s Children and Teen Services space will be undergoing a renovation to better serve our community!

The children's area is getting much-needed new shelving to make our materials more accessible for our patrons and to replace shelves that are more than 30 years old and are no longer functioning. This will create a safer, more welcoming space for all.

The department will also be adding more seating and a small flexible area for kid’s programming in the future.

To complete this project in a safe and timely manner, the Children and Teen Services area will be closed to the public from Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 17. Our new books area will still be available to browse, however, the rest of our materials will not be available for checkout during this time.

All children and teen programs will also be canceled during this time frame. We apologize for this disruption, but we are excited to offer the new space to our community just in time for the start of summer and our Summer Reading program!

If you have questions during the closure, the Children and Teen Services librarians will be tabling outside of the area or call us at 303-651-8470.
