The Boulder County Latino Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the achievements of women in business, education, healthcare and other community sectors at The Empowering Women Celebration. The event will shed light on the achievements of successful women in the area and foster an opportunity for collaboration across industries and business sectors.

“This event is more than just a gathering; it’s a powerful initiative to uplift women in the local community,” said Programs and Membership Manager for the Latino Chamber of Commerce Carla Colin.

Organizers have divided the celebration into two parts including an expo featuring women-owned businesses and resources with an awards ceremony to follow.

“We will recognize 13 women in our community who have made a positive impact,” Colin said.

The celebration is part of a larger mission to connect women in business with one another and with other industry partners. The Empowered Women Bilingual Group meets on the third Thursday of each month and arranges to have diverse speakers present to members on a variety of topics aimed at supporting women in meeting their personal and professional development goals.

The Latino Chamber of Commerce works to connect different cultural communities through business and to improve economic opportunities for traditionally underserved and underrepresented groups. One key organizational objective is to promote women-owned businesses.

“By showcasing the success stories of women entrepreneurs and leaders the celebration is a way to inspire others,” Colin said.

The Empowering Women Celebration will take place on March 27 at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder. The expo will run from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. with the awards to immediately follow. Tickets start at $10 and are available online.
