Downtown Longmont’s practical and quality goods store Yore (381 Main St.) will be hosting an Artisan Maker’s Market during the Downtown Block Party on Saturday, August 26th from 1-6 p.m. Yore’s market will feature over 30 vendors and an immensely eclectic variety of creative, useful and unique goods available for purchase throughout the afternoon. This will be a diverse collection of vendors showcasing the newest and coolest goods from around Longmont and the Front Range.
The owners of Yore, Savannah Johnson and her husband Ryan, have worked hard to put this collection of artisans together.
When asked how they got the inspiration for the market and found the vendors, Johnson explained. “Other cities around the area often host Maker’s Markets, but there hasn’t been anything quite like that here. We’re excited to bring it to Downtown Longmont. Some of these vendors have worked with us in the past, and others are folks who’ve stood out to us either at other markets or online through channels like Instagram. We want people to realize the breadth of different types of vendors who are coming to Downtown.”
The market will be held in the newly refurbished alleyway behind Yore on the west side of Main St. between 3rd and 4th Avenues as part of the Downtown Block Party. The Block Party will feature entertainment throughout the Downtown alleyways, breezeways, sidewalks and businesses from 1-6 p.m.
