Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) is bringing a farmers market to Downtown Longmont.

The market will take place on Wednesday evenings from 5-8 p.m. beginning June 19, 2019. The market will be located on 5th Ave on the west side of Main St. between Main and Coffman Streets. This market will run from June 19 to September 11, 2019.

"Having a farmers market gives our downtown community members – residents, employees, business owners, and patrons – a chance to grab some fresh local produce and goods directly from farmers and vendors during the week, as well as relax with some food, drink, and local music after the work day is over," says Colin Argys, marketing specialist and event coordinator for LDDA.

The Urban Farmers Market-Downtown Longmont will feature local live music, local artists, and vendors.

The Urban Farmers Market-Downtown Longmont is run by Kelly Miller.

Miller lives in Louisville and has started and run five farmers markets in Colorado over the last 11 years. She enjoys bringing communities together around food and local entertainment and goods.

"The atmosphere and energy of downtown has changed a little bit over the past few years. The demographic down there would be good. I've been watching Longmont for awhile, watching it grow, and I feel like they are ready," says Miller about why she chose to start a weeknight farmers market in Longmont.
