Longmont Lights Holiday Festival & Parade

  • Time: Dec. 13, 5 p.m. and Dec. 14, 5 p.m.
  • Location: Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Ave.

Enjoy the mystery and magic of millions of sparkling lights and FREE family activities December 13-14 during the City of Longmont's annual holiday celebration, Longmont Lights!

Friday, December 13 - Santa's Workshop and More
All activities except the Parade of Lights will take place between 5-8pm Friday, December 13 (times vary) in Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Avenue. Returning favorites include the The Home Depot Santa’s Workshop (5-7:30pm) for younger kids at the Memorial Building, visits with Santa (NEW location - sponsored by Xfinity) at the Longmont Senior Center, and in Roosevelt Park, hot cocoa carts sponsored by Longmont Meals On Wheels and New Creation Church - Longmont, Colorado, balloon glow, Village at the Peaks train rides, the annual fireworks show by Bank of Colorado, ice skating (regular admission fees apply - free skate rental) and more! Local food truck vendors will have menu items for purchase at the Longs Peak parking lot area next to the park.

Saturday, December 14 - Parade of Lights
Visit the Longmont Downtown Development Authority's Winter Wonderland from 3:30-5pm before the parade. Stop by St. Stephen's Plaza in Downtown Longmont (500 Main Street) for interactive activities, music, family fun and more!

At 5pm Saturday, enjoy the "Joy to the World" holiday parade on Main Street. Parade float applications are available online or at the Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak Avenue, until Monday, December 2. All entries are eligible for prizes.

Jingle Bell Fridays

  • Location: Village at the Peaks, 1250 S. Hover Road

Downtown Longmont Holiday Cheer Walking Tour

  • Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Location: 600 Main St.

Experience a tour through downtown Longmont’s lights and displays, enjoy some treats and activities at our stops, and shop for Santa’s list. An event with photo opportunities for the entire family. We will finish at Roosevelt Park, just in time for the fireworks.

Your Trip Hosts: Ana Lucaci is a professional member-owner with Walk2Connect. In addition to walking, she shares a passion for theatre and loves to share walking opportunities in her hometown of Longmont. This event is sponsored by Longmont Downtown Development Authority.

Schedule, Planning, and Nearby Transit: We will meet at 5:30 p.m. by the Christmas Tree (6th and Main St).

There is plenty of parking across Boulder County building. Bus routes 323, 324, 326, 327, LD, LX, J, BOLT are your closest routes. We will leave no later than 5:40 after introductions. We start at Downtown Longmont’s Christmas Tree and will end at Roosevelt Park at the parade of lights, just in time for fireworks.

Trip Notes:

– Dogs are not allowed on this walk.

– Accessibility: If you’re on a stroller or wheelchair, keep in mind the sidewalks may be cracked or bumpy. We will be crossing major streets, please be mindful.
– Wear/Bring: Ty to wear comfortable socks & walking shoes, and layers/protection for the seasons weather.
– Please plan to use restroom beforehand so we don’t wait for you at the start. Restrooms available at our stop places.
– We move casually approximately 2-3mph.

December 2nd Friday in Downtown Longmont: Holiday Stroll

Join us on December 2nd Friday for an evening of art, lights, and Holiday displays in Downtown Longmont!

Walk2Connect will be offering a free guided walking tour of the Holiday lights and sights in Downtown Longmont, ending at Longmont Lights Holiday Festival in Roosevelt Park prior to the fireworks! Friday Afternoon Concert: Boulder Big Band

  • Time: 2:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Location: Longmont Museum and Cultural Center, 400 Quail Rd.

Enjoy an afternoon of live music in our Stewart Auditorium this fall featuring an eclectic array of musical acts from up and down the Front Range. Entertaining Front Range audiences for more than 20 years, Boulder Big Band is an authentic 17-piece classic big band jazz orchestra playing sounds from the great Swing-Era era of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, and Duke Ellington.

Latino Chamber Posada Celebration

Come join the Latino Chamber in celebrating our contributions to business and the community Latino style. We will share chamber accomplishments, acknowledge our members and unveil some of what's to come in 2020. We will also do this Posada style sharing some favorite holiday traditions. This event is open to the business community and also friends of the chamber.

We will have holiday foods, ponche, piñata, tamales & pedir posada. Dont miss it!!

State Legislators Host Town Hall

Senator Mike Foote will hold a town hall at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 14th in Longmont. This event is open to the public and is an opportunity for constituents to hear about legislative priorities for the upcoming session as well as to ask Senator Foote, Rep. Jonathan Singer, and Rep. Sonya Jaquez Lewis questions.

Longmont Toy Shop

  • Time: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Location: Longmont Ford, 235 Alpine St.

At our 4th Annual Dolls for Daughters® and Toys for Boys® Toy Shop in Longmont, we will provide assistance to 800 children ages birth to 18 on December 14, 2019. We plan to provide each child with a new toy, new small toy, toothbrush/toothpaste kit, wooden toy car and lip gloss. We encourage you to bring a large, black lawn bag to take your toys home in or something else that can help you transport your toys from our venue to your vehicle.

The event is first come, first served. A completed survey will be required to enter the toy shop and will be given out the day of the event. A birth certificate from anywhere is REQUIRED along with a picture ID for the parent receiving services. You may only shop for your children at this event.

Lights Tours on the Wonder Bus

  • Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Location: Wonder Tours

Pickup at Longtucky Spirits in Longmont, 2 hours of fun on the Wonder Bus checking out all the best local lights displays with time to get off the bus and see them up close. Snack and hot cocoa provided. Alcohol is allowed on the bus. Max capacity is 20. Perfect for groups of 10-18 and we arrange custom pickup and discounts for private tours. Individual tickets are $20, 6 or more 10% off, and private tours are flat rate $300. Bring a coat, gloves etc some walking outside involved. 2 tours most nights in December based on availability.
