Firehouse Artist Members are invited to participate in Inktober 2019, and the Firehouse will exhibit the work!
Inktober is an instagram-based drawing challenge organized by artist Jake Parker. Every day for the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates an ink drawing using a set list of prompts and posts it online. Remember to use the hashtags #inktober2019 if you want your art to be seen by everyone on instagram. Please also tag the Firehouse!!
You do not have to use Instagram to qualify for this Firehouse exhibition: just participate in the challenge and bring your work! Must be ready-to-hang and no larger than 9x12 in size.

Heroclix Adventure League Days of Future Past

Days of future past is a heroclix adventure loosely based on the storyline of the same name. There are two storylines players will be challenged to complete. First is survival in the decimated post-sentinel world and second is the impossible time travel mission to undo the robotic horrors of our hero’s lifetime.
Players are asked to bring two characters from the following keyword list of 50 points or less. One will participate in the future timeline and the other will operate in the past.

The Firehouse Art Center and Longmont Economic Development Partnership is pleased to present a 12 week course for emerging artists in our community! Every Saturday starting October 05, 2019 from 10am-12pm.
Developed by Springboard for the Arts, Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists is based on a series of professional development and entrepreneurship workshops that have been taught to more than 5,000 artists at arts organizations, colleges, and libraries in over 80 communities in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Iowa since 2010.
Work of Art is a 12-part workbook and video series that guides artists of all disciplines through every facet of building a successful and sustainable career – from career planning, time management, marketing, and social media to pricing, recordkeeping, funding, and developing a business plan.

Be sure to bring in a water bottle, metal hair brush and any ties, ribbons or hair clips. If you have a doll salon chair, bring it in too.
Don't have a doll???? That's ok, Queenie will have a few previously loved and refurbished AG dolls to purchase along with new doll wigs and previously loved clothes. The shop also has dolls and new handmade clothing. Come on by the shop for a very fun afternoon!!

We will have a variety of templates for you to cut your favorite holiday shape out of clay. Many surface design tools will be provided for you to personalize your work of art--carving, underglaze painting, stamps, you name it!
$50 includes all materials to make 3 ornaments. Finished ornaments can be picked up at the studio at 921 Kimbark St, Longmont once they are fired (2-4 weeks after class). You will be notified by email once the ornaments are ready to be picked up.

Concealed Handgun Permit Class
- Time: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Location: Courtyard by Marriott Boulder/Longmont, 1410 Dry Creek Dr.
This is your first step to getting your Concealed Carry Permit. Our Concealed Carry Permit Course will satisfy the requirements and provide you with all of the information you need when applying for your CCW Permit. The course will teach you about the responsibilities of a permit holder, the use of force, interactions with police officers, the legal aftermath of an act of self defense, handgun safety as well as parts and operation.
During the 4 hour course, we will provide all materials needed. All you need to do is show up; it’s that simple.
At the end of the course we will give you your Certificate of Completion to take to your local Sheriff’s Office to apply for your Concealed Handgun Permit.
