This is two-day event celebrates Oktoberfest in Roosevelt Park. Doors open on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Colorado's 4th Congressional District Midterm Debate, Saturday, October 6, 2-3:30 p.m.

The Longmont Observer and the League of Women Voters of Boulder County are partnering with the Longmont Museum to bring a midterm debate between Rep. Ken Buck and Dr. Karen McCormick on Saturday from 2-3:30 p.m. The event will be at the Longmont Museum and doors will open at 1:30 p.m. All members of the public are welcome to attend and seating is first-come, first-served.

This Saturday, October 6, the LSO celebrates Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday and some of the composers whose music he championed, including Shostakovich and Mahler. Mahler’s First Symphony, “Titan,” completes the composer’s journey of love and loss—and ultimate triumph—that he began with his autobiographical song cycle, Songs of a Wayfarer. Their new location is at the Vance Brand Civic Auditorium 600 East Mountain View Avenue.
