The Veterans Community Project (VCP), founded in Kansas City, KS is building its second Veterans Village in Longmont.

The VCP‘s mission is “dedicated to supporting every man and woman who took the oath for our country. They are determined to make a difference in the lives of homeless veterans, a task accomplished by the community for the community.”

They are building a specialized community of tiny homes and onsite services to provide housing stability and address the underlying cause of veteran homelessness.

This video provides an indepth interview by one of the founders of the Veterans Community Project, Mark Solomon. It was created by The Longmont Channel, also known as Channel 8. Channel 8 is Longmont's Public Access, Education and Government channel and can be accessed through Comcast, Layer 3 TV services as well as on their website at http://www.longmontchannel.com/

From their website: Channel 8 provides local cable television access for the community of Longmont, Colorado. Programming for Channel 8 includes local community highlight shows, Longmont City Council meetings, Planning & Zoning meetings, St. Vrain Valley School Board Meetings, election coverage, partnership programming with the police department and other community organizations, High School sports coverage, public access and acquired programs from various sources.
