Forecast Discussion:

I'm headed out into the wilderness until Sunday AM... I don't have much posting time today. But we are in a pattern that is repeating each day. There is a lot of tropical moisture in the west (there will be a bit of a dip today, and an upper level short wave ridge in the afternoon/evening time frame), a short-wave-filled jet stream passing to our north, and daytime heating galore. This all means that we'll have a chance of severe weather and locally flooding rains through Monday, when the big ridge tries to reestablish itself more over the Four Corners Region. Figure 1 shows this 'pretty wet' period through Monday.

I'll come back and look at everything afresh on Saturday. Keep your personal weather apps set to give you alerts to any hail, heavy winds and rain, or (the occasional) tornado that might occur.
