Are we experts at all of it? No. But we are huge believers that the best way to learn something is by doing it.

The Longmont Observer is a non-profit 501(c)3, volunteer-driven local community news media entity. We began in early 2017 and believe that it is important to inform and educate the residents of Longmont to the best of our ability. We believe in taking advantage of all forms of modern technology to do that.

The Longmont Observer needs your help in order to cover all the news of our city, in order share that news with our community to ensure that we are well-informed residents.

Scott Converse (left), Macie May, Sergio Angeles (right)

The co-founders of the Longmont Observer are Sergio Angeles and Scott Converse. Sergio is our editor in chief and a Colorado Native. He moved back to Longmont after college to be closer to his family and to explore what he could do to make the world a little better place. Scott Converse is our publisher. He believes himself to be a grizzled and cantankerous old guy who really gets a bee in his bonnet on some things. However, he also creates ways to fix what's bugging him (like the Longmont Observer; he also founded and ran TinkerMill, the Longmont Makerspace). And, Macie May, our amazing managing editor. The three of whom are working day in and day out to create the Longmont Observer but, we could do so much more with volunteers, like you, helping to make it better.

Please consider joining us.
