The Terry Street Collective, located at 610 Terry St, Longmont, is opening Longmont's first IV Lounge.

An IV lounge is a place dedicated to supplying people with IV therapy. According to an email from Scott Kaier, marketing and business manager of Terry Street Collective, "IV therapy is a quick and easy way for anyone to receive a dose of vitamins and minerals to help them feel and perform their best."

"IV therapy is a rapidly growing wellness trend with locations opening from coast to coast and all along the Front Range. The reason is simple: most of us are deficient in certain nutrients and IV therapy quickly brings us back up to where we need to be to help us feel our best. Patients report better performance and faster recovery from workouts, improved sleep, mood enhancement, a boost to the immune system and more," states Kaier.

When asked how often a person should receive IV therapy, Kaier responded with, "The benefits of an IV treatment generally last between 2-3 weeks, but a lot depends on how deficient you are when you walk in. Some people benefit from a monthly treatment while others will want to come by weekly until their nutrient levels are more optimal."

The IV therapy solutions being offered include:

Myers Cocktail
Cold and Flu
Immune Boost
Anti-Aging
Hangover
Athletic Performance
B12 Shots

The new IV Lounge will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, August 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Terry Street Collective.

The Terry St. Collective IV Lounge regular business hours will begin on Sunday, August 19. Those hours are Friday-Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

According to Dr. Noel Love, DACM and business partner of Terry Street Collective, says, "The IV Lounge is going to be this amazing little space here. You come in and we can make a custom mix of vitamins and minerals and hydration and you feel a difference immediately."

As for the space itself, "everything from our furniture to our website branding is intended to have a 1950s Atomic Age look and feel to it. This is because the very first wellness-oriented IV treatment (the Myers’ Cocktail, created by Dr. John Myers) was developed in this time period."

Guests should expect treatments to take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the volume of saline used in an individual's IV and the availability of space in the clinic at that moment.
