As we enter the 28th day of the federal government shutdown, the impact of a diminished federal government is being felt across the country. While the national media only started to talk about the shutdown mattering on January 11th, when the 800,000 furloughed federal employees missed their first paycheck, we know that the impact can be felt across Longmont.

We want to count the ways.

Send your Shutdown Stories to the Longmont Observer using the form below. We want to catalog the ways the federal shutdown is touching people's lives, big and small, direct and indirect. We'll feature some of those stories here on the Observer. Others will form the basis of investigative reporting. We're asking for your name, phone number and email address only so that we can verify that you're a real Longmont resident and to follow up on any leads you might provide.
