In today's interview Bishop Gerry Schnackenberg, of Epiphany Anglican Fellowship, discusses the importance of prayer. In this short, 3:13min video, Bishop pointed out how prayer is like rain in the spirit realm.

"Prayer is Like Rain"

Bishop Gerry said, "In the spiritual world, prayer is like rain."

He used the analogy of an amazing bloom, that takes place in a certain region of Southern Californian. It doesn't happen often, but when the conditions are right this bloom takes place. In order for this phenomenon to occur, one thing that is needed is a lot of rain fall. Then the millions and millions of poppy seeds, that are already in the ground, come to life. The bloom is so amazing that, they say, it can even be seen from outer space.

He explained that when we, the faithful believers in Jesus Christ, pray for the world, God can then activate the power of Holy Spirit and the Life of God, that is already in the world. This causes those seeds of God's life to spring up and come alive.

By praying for our city, Longmont, God can bring about His life that is already here.

Let's Pray!

Bishop Gerry prayed that the rain of the Holy Spirit would fall on our city and the surrounding area. He prayed that God would activate all of the life of Christ that is already in this community. He prayed that the people of this city would become more and more aware of God's presence, and that Jesus would become more evident and prevalent in our city. He also prayed that the people of this city and the surrounding cities would come to know Jesus, if they don't already know Him. If they do already know Him, he prayed that their faith would be activated and be "alivened".

Pray: Heavenly Father, I pray that You would cause Longmont to bloom and burst forth in Your life by the power of the Holy Spirit! In the name Jesus Christ. Amen.
