Participants applied glow paint to their bodies and adorned glow sticks to their wrists, necks, ankles and even made hats out of them. Then they were off to the pool.

As sunset and the evening began, about 200 people enjoyed floating, lounging, diving and water sliding.

The event organizers include Yolanda Leon-Duarte, Claire McCoy and Luke Diede.

Longmont Police Department Victim Services Program Seeks Volunteer Victim Advocates

The Longmont Police Department Victim Services Program is seeking volunteer victim advocates to provide crisis intervention, support and referrals to victims of crime and traumatic incidents. Training covers a wide variety of topics that also can be used in everyday life. Consider volunteering if you are interested in learning about crisis intervention and the criminal justice system. Sign up begins for Roger's River Run 5K

Get ready to GLOW at the Roger’s River Run 5K, sponsored by UCHealth at 7:30 pm on Friday, July 13, during Rhythm on the River at Roger’s Grove, 220 Hover Street. Wear your glow and party apparel, and run, walk or dance the 5K all the way to the finish line, followed by after-race goodies, glow-tastic specialty awards, and the Overall Male and Female award ceremony. Early-bird registration fees by noon on July 12 are $20 for adults/$15 for youth 14 and younger and seniors 60 and older. Race day fees increase $5 on a space available basis.
