Recently Boulder County announced that they were cleaning up Bike-n-ride shelters by tagging abandoned bikes and clearing away personal items left behind. Today Boulder County sent out a press release which included the new terms and conditions for the Bike-n-ride.

According to the press release, a synopsis of the terms is as follows:

Users may store one operable bicycle and bicycle accessories for up to 30 days at a time in a shelter. Storage of other unrelated personal items is prohibited. If your bike has been tagged as abandoned, you have 30 days to remove it from the shelter before it will be removed and disposed of.
If your bike is tagged and it is not abandoned you will need to remove the bike from the shelter for one week. When you return it, you will need to lock it to a different rack than the one it was on when it was tagged.

The new terms and conditions have been posted in all Bike-n-ride shelters. In the coming weeks, Boulder County will tag all abandoned bikes for removal. Personal items, not related to bikes, will be removed by the county with no warning.
