"The Longmont Economic Development Partnership (EDP) awarded The Longmont Climbing Collective a $3,000 grant as part of the Advance Longmont Startup Grant program to assist local startups that have been in business less than two years," states a press release issued by Longmont EDP.

Longmont Climbing Collective is climbing facility located at 33 South Pratt Parkway, Longmont. According to their website, they "aim to be the central hub for the climbing community here in Longmont."

According to the press release, "Boulder County has a lot to offer that climbing community, and Longmont Climbing Collective adds to that by bringing to Longmont a company and a facility with a commitment to strengthening and supporting the outdoor recreation industry in Colorado."

Longmont Climbing Collective co-owner Mac Maier says, “We can’t think of a better place to do this than Longmont! We’re located only 12 miles from Colorado’s Front Range, home to some of the finest climbing in the world. Our climbing community here in Longmont has yearned for a place to meet, grow and train together. Now we have a place to call our own.”

According to the Longmont EDP press release, "The Advance Longmont Startup Grant is designed to support Longmont’s startup businesses in their launch efforts. Informed by the goals of both the Advance Longmont economic development strategy and Envision Longmont master plan, the Advance Longmont Startup Grant program provides funding to local startups that have been in business less than two years to assist with the cost of permitting and licensing, regulatory compliance, equipment purchases and other startup associated costs. This program reimburses eligible expenses, up to the preapproved grant amount, for projects that submit an application and meet all of the criteria of the grant program. Funded by the City of Longmont, the Advance Longmont Startup Grant awards up to $3,000 to startups that have launched or will launch in Longmont."

Maier remarks, "It's huge and is great to see the City support local business."

Longmont Climbing Collective is using the grant to change the training area by adding a cable crossover machine and extending the flooring. They have also hired a new coach to join their two other coaches.

"We are using the grant money to make our facility better for the community," says Maier.

The Climbing Collective has also improved their facility by adding several climbs easier for beginning level climbers.

Every election there are “categories” of ballots that will be counted and have the potential to be counted as part of the 8th day processing after the election. For instance, military and overseas mail ballots and signature discrepancy cures can be received up until the 8th day after the election and still be counted. Because of the July 4 holiday, 8th day processing will actually occur on July 5, the 9th day after the election.

In this webinar, Boulder County Clerk & Recorder Hillary Hall will review all the types of categories (buckets, if you will) of ballots that the candidates should expect to be remaining the day after the election. This webinar is meant to help bring clarity in terms of how the final ballots are processed and what is and what may be outstanding the day after the election. This information is especially important if a contest is close.

Additionally, the webinar will cover the election night results process, watcher information, recount scenarios, and Colorado’s election audit (risk limiting audit).
