A friend of mine who welds a lot of exotic alloys for specialty heat exchanges was kind enough to do a series of welds for me.

The biggest thing to note here is the difference in the crystal sizes between the weld bead and the heat affected area.

If you would like to see a larger library of SEM images for this weld including higher magnification images as well as images from outside the heat affected area come check us out on Facebook.
