“These are pieces of music that every band student should have the opportunity to play at some point in their lives, and we are happy to provide them with that opportunity as part of the Longmont Youth Symphony organization”, says Sean Kemp, director of the Wind Ensemble.

“I am proud of the way that they each stepped up to put in the practice time to learn their parts so that we are able to perform such challenging music on our first concert. I look forward to continuing to grow and offer increasingly more polished performances throughout the season," says Katarina Schmitt, director of the string ensemble.

Tickets for the youth symphony can be purchased at the door on the day of the event.

"Longmont Youth Symphony is a non-profit organization that provides young talented musicians in our community with the opportunity to learn and grow. These young people are not afraid to tackle challenging music and they perform it remarkably well," states Jana Yoder, Longmont Youth Symphony board member.
