Longmont Police Report: May 30

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

A Longmont resident reported first degree criminal trespass and theft in the 2700 block of Nelson Road. There are no investigative leads or suspect information at this time.

DRUG VIOLATION

On May 13th, 2019, an officer in the 200 block of Kimbark St. received a report of a juvenile suspected of attempting to distribute marijuana to juveniles. The case is open.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On May 30, 2019 Longmont Police investigated a domestic incident in the 900 Blk of S Hover St. One adult male was arrested on domestic violence related charges and was taken to the Boulder County Jail. Case is cleared by arrest.

AUTO THEFT

On Thursday, May 30, 2019 at about 0540 hours, Longmont Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Copper Peak Lane on a report of an auto theft. Upon arrival officers contacted an adult female who advised she started her vehicle and left it running while she went back inside. When the female came back out her vehicle was missing. No suspects have been identified at this time.

FRAUD

On May 30, 2019 a theft report was received from the 700 block of Memory Ln. An adult male reported the theft or multiple bank cards that was used to make fraudulent transactions.

PROTECTION ORDER

On 05/30/2019, an adult male was arrested in the 100 block of Gardner Drive for a restraining order violation.

BURGLARY

On 5/30/2019, Officers responded to the 600 block of Missouri Avenue on report of a theft. No suspects have been identified.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

The Cyber Crimes Unit of the Longmont Police Department assisted the Mead Police Department with an investigation. All inquiries need to be directed to the Mead Police Department.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

On May 29, 2019, the Longmont Police Department investigated a recovered stolen vehicle from the 100 block of 15th Avenue. The vehicle was stolen out of Thornton, Colorado.

FRAUD

On May 29, 2019, the Longmont Police Department investigated a case of identity theft in the 1300 block of Walden Court.

DRUG VIOLATION

On 05/30/2019 Longmont Police initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 1500 block of Emery St after the vehicle was seen driving around the area at high rates of speed. The driver of the vehicle ran from the vehicle upon police contact and was not apprehended. An adult male passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of narcotic paraphernalia. The driver was later identified as an adult male with a felony warrant for his arrest. This case will remain open pending new charges for the adult male driver. The passenger was released on scene with a summons.

THEFT

On 05/30/2019, Longmont officers responded to the 1900 blk of Collyer St. reference a theft. An unknown suspect left the area with an adult male victim's belongings.

THEFT

On Thursday, May 30, 2019 at about 0354 hours, Longmont Police were dispatched to the area of 11th Ave and Francis Street on a report of a theft. Upon arrival officers were advised an adult male got out of a taxi and refused to pay her tab. The female walked away and the cab driver lost sight of her before officers could arrive. The female has not been identified at this time.

FOLLOW UP

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, the Longmont Police Department began investigating an adult male for failure to register as a sex offender. The case remains open pending additional follow-up.

FRAUD

A Longmont resident reported identity theft which did not occur in Longmont. There are no further investigative leads or suspect information at this time.

CIVIL

On Thursday, 05/30/19, the Longmont Police Department took a report of a Civil Issue in the 2400 block of Sunset Dr. No criminal activity is believed to have occurred, this report is for informational purposes only.

AUTO THEFT

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, at approximately 1545 hours, in the 2200 block of Mountain View Ave, Longmont Police located two stolen cars from outside agencies. Both agencies were notified. This case is closed.

DRUG VIOLATION

On 05/30/19, Officers with the Longmont Police Department conducted a traffic stop as a part of the click it or ticket initiative. K9 Rudi conducted a sniff of the vehicle and alerted. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and a loaded handgun. The male driver was arrested as he is a convicted felon. The female passenger was issued a summons for drug paraphernalia as she had a meth pipe. Case cleared by arrest.

DISTURBANCE

On 5/30/2019 offiicers responded to the 1700 block of 11th Ave in reference to a disturbance. After investigation, an adult female was summoned for harassment related charges. Case is cleared with a summons issued.

VICIOUS DOG

On Thursday, 05/30/2019 Longmont Police Officers responded to the area of Mountain View Ave and Tulip St in reference to a possible aggressive animal bite. Later an adult female was contacted and issued a summons. Cleared by arrest.

WARRANT ARREST

On May 30, 2019, the Longmont Police Department responded to the area of S. Hover Street and Rogers Road on a hazard. A male was reportedly walking in traffic. Officers contacted an adult male who was found to have two warrants for his arrest. This case is cleared by arrest.
