Longmont Police Report – February 11, 2019

The Longmont Observer receives a police report from Longmont Public Safety every morning and we publish the police notes in full. From time to time, the Longmont Observer modifies the police notes if an exact address or a person’s name is included. Additionally, some spelling mistakes are also corrected. According to Longmont Public Safety, the CAD Call Type (e.g. ARSON, WARRANT ARREST) is entered into the computer based on the limited information dispatch receives from a caller. The CAD Call Type can be changed by an officer once more information is learned about the incident. Regardless of the CAD Call Type the type of case investigated may remain the same or be changed and the case can be closed with one of several dispositions.

THEFT

An employee of a Denver business reported a theft of license plates and tail lights from their drilling truck while it was parked in the 2300 block of Tyrrhenian Drive in Longmont. The case status is closed due to a lack of suspect information.

FRAUD

A Longmont resident in the 1500 block of Redtail Court reported his identity was stolen to open accounts in Michigan. The case status is closed
due to a lack of suspect information and jurisdictional issues.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On 2/11/19, officers took a report of a domestic incident between an adult male and female in the 2300 block of Flagstaff Drive. This case is open.

CRIM MISCHIEF IN PROGRESS

On February 11, 2019, a criminal mischief report was received from the 800 block of Cheyenne Avenue. An adult female reported damage to the rear glass on her vehicle. This case is closed.

THEFT

On 2/11/19, Longmont police received a report of a cold burglary/theft at the 500 block of Coffman Street. The incident was investigated and later closed due to a lack of evidence.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On 2/11/19, Longmont police responded to the 1200 block of Hover Street in reference to a domestic incident in progress. Police investigated the
matter, and one subject was arrested without incident. This case was cleared by arrest.

FRAUD

On February 11, 2019, an identity theft report was taken from the 1000 block of Wyndemere Circle. An adult male reported his credit card was used to make fraudulent purchases. This case is closed.

PROTECTION ORDER

On 2/11/19, Longmont police officers responded to the 200 block of Kimbark Street to assist an adult male and adult female who believed a protection order had been violated by another adult male and adult female. After conducting an investigation, this case is currently closed.

CRIM MISCHIEF IN PROGRESS

On February 11, 2019, a criminal mischief report was received from the 1900 block of Boston Avenue. An adult female reported the window glass
was busted from her vehicle and personal items stolen from inside. This case is closed.

AUTO THEFT

On 2/11/19 at approximately 1905 hours, officers took a call of a cold auto theft of a registered low power scooter in the 2400 block of Airport Road. A report was filed. This case is closed.

THEFT

On Sunday 2/10/19, Longmont officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Hover Street on a theft. Upon further investigation, one adult male was referred to LCJP. This case is closed.

FOLLOW UP

On Sunday 2/10/19, Longmont officers conducted a traffic stop. One adult female was taken into custody for warrants. This case was cleared by arrest.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT

On 2/21/19, officers responded to the 2300 block of Flagstaff Drive on a suicidal party. An adult female was transported to the hospital. This case is
closed.

SEX ASSAULT

On Monday, February 11, 2019 at approximately 0855 hours, an officer took a report of a cold sex assault which occurred in the 2100 block of Main Street. The case is forwarded to investigations for additional follow-up.

FRAUD

On February 11, 2019, Longmont police officers responded to the 1900 block of Main Street in reference to a counterfeit $20. It was reported that an
unknown suspect had used the bill on an unknown date and time. Due to no suspect information or leads this case will be closed.

WARRANT ARREST

On February 11, 2019, Longmont police officers responded to the 1500 block of Main Street in reference to an adult male who had active warrants for his arrest. He was contacted in the area and taken into custody without incident. This case was closed by arrest.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On Monday, February 11, 2019, Longmont police officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Main Street in reference to a theft. A 36 year-old male had items stolen out of his vehicle overnight. A report was taken and the case is closed until further leads develop as there are no suspect leads at this time.

SHOPLIFT

On February 11, 2019, Longmont officers responded to a call of shoplift in the 200 block of Ken Pratt Boulevard. An adult female was identified a few
blocks away. She was arrested and transported to the Boulder County Jail.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

On February 11, 2019 at approximately 1540 hours, Longmont police officers responded to the 2400 block of Airport Road to assist Colorado State Patrol in the recovery of a stolen vehicle. Officers conducted an investigation. This case is closed.

THEFT

On Monday, February 11, 201,9 Longmont police officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Pratt Street in reference to a theft. A report was taken as a 48 year-old female reported multiple collectibles stolen. The case will be closed as there are no suspect leads at this time.
