Story about the photos: Last Tuesday, I was descending the steep curves of the Guanella Pass Road towards Georgetown, Colorado. As I drove around a sharp curve, I had to stop quickly to avoid a collision with a bighorn sheep. The ram, who was leading four ewes up the middle of the road, continued until he was squarely in front of the Jeep Cherokee’s hood. I began to wonder how long this standoff would continue, but I managed to take two photos before the ram led his harem off onto the uphill lane and farther up the road. Written by Al Pace.
