Some quilts being put up for the annual sale (Facebook @InterfaithQuilters)

Interfaith Quilters was started in 1986 when a group of women representing local churches came together to have a one-time quilt sale to support the O.U.R. Center which was just getting started. The sale was so successful and the ladies had so much fun that they decided to turn it into an annual event and the Interfaith Quilters group was born.

The group is now around 100 volunteers of all faiths and beliefs strong and meet every Monday (detailed schedule) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church at 3rd and Terry St., Longmont. They invite new members to come as leave whenever they like during the day and any level of experience with quilting is welcome from novice to expert. If you've never picked up a needle before the group will help you learn while working on quilts for the sale in March, the proceeds from which are donated to The O.U.R. Center and Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley.

You can find out more about the group on their website or Facebook page.
