Longmont Humane Society Joins Clear the Shelters

Longmont Humane Society is excited to join this annual, community-driven pet adoption campaign in partnership with NBC and Telemundo. Since 2015, Clear the Shelters™ has resulted in more than 150,000 pet adoptions.

On Saturday, August 18 Longmont Humane Society will join hundreds of other shelters nationwide and waive adoption fees on all adoptable animals in an effort to find new, loving homes for as many animals as possible! Clear the Shelters™ 2018 is sponsored by Cat’s Pride® and Hill’s Pet Nutrition. Saturday, August 18, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Caution: Dogs & Hot Cars

Longmont Humane Society reminds you that the inside of a car can quickly become much hotter than the outside temperature. Even at 70 degrees outside, the inside of a car will become dangerously hot within minutes. If you do see a dog in distress in a hot car, call law enforcement immediately. In Longmont, call Animal Control at 303/651-8500. Let’s keep our best friends safe and happy this summer!
