Longmont High School Celebrates Homecoming This Week

This month saw high schools all over Longmont celebrating their football homecoming events. This week is Longmont High School's homecoming and their student council chose the theme of Fire and Ice.

This month saw high schools all over Longmont celebrating their football homecoming events. This week is Longmont High School's homecoming and their student council chose the theme of Fire and Ice.

This week the students are celebrating by dressing by a different theme each day.

  • Monday: Twin Day
  • Tuesday: Generation Day (costumes included baby, little kid, middle school, etc.)
  • Wednesday: Crazy Clothes Day
  • Thursday: Fire and Ice Day
  • Friday: Each Class Dresses in a Certain Color

Some of this week's events include:

  • Thursday, September 21 at 3:30 p.m. there is a softball game vs Thompson Valley
  • Friday, September 22
    • 2:15-2:45 p.m. School Pep Assembly
    • 4-6 p.m. Homecoming Carnival on the Trojan Walkway. This event is open to the public and will include booths manned by Longmont High School clubs.
    • 7 p.m. Kicks off the Homecoming football game vs Mead High School. Half-time will feature a performance by the Longmont High School marching band and the presentation of the Homecoming royalty.

  •  Saturday, September 23, 8-11 p.m. is the Homecoming dance.

Pete Scheck, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, felt that the student council did a great job putting together the homecoming events this week. He went on to talk about how much the students were enjoying the week of festivities. He invites everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities as well.
