After eight years of devoted fandom, Game of Thrones watchers are mourning the end of the critically-acclaimed HBO series that followed the fates of the Westerosi. Based on the George R. R. Martin book series, A Song of Ice and Fire, the show developed one of the most enthusiastic fan followings in television history, with watch parties and social media threads examining every plot twist and turn.

To commemorate this wildly successful series, the Longmont Public Library is hosting an after party, the "Game of Thrones: Game Over Party" on Saturday, June 8 from 6 to 8:30 at the Library. Fun games, GOT trivia, crafts, an iron throne for selfie-taking, and abundant refreshments are planned.

Costumes are encouraged, and the party will spill out from the large meeting rooms onto the Library's west patio, weather permitting. This party is for adults age 18 and older, and registration is required. Registration is limited to 150 party-goers. Those who would like to attend but don't have an email address may call 303-651-8472 to register by phone.
