LONGMONT, Colo. – Readers and writers love to meet authors, and Longmonters are no exception to that rule.  So, for the sixth year, the Library is offering local fans an opportunity to meet dozens of local and Colorado authors at the “Authors We Love Open House” on Saturday, February 10, from 1 to 4:30 pm.  Readers can browse from table to table, meeting authors, asking questions, and even buying books. There will be published authors of fiction, nonfiction, adult, children’s, and young adult books, plus genres and subjects galore. For young readers, award-winning author Natasha Wing will be hosting a Valentine’s Day tea party from 2 to 3 pm.  Wing is the author of Bagel in Love and The Night Before Valentine’s Day. The tea party will include a craft, a book signing, a tea party etiquette game, and refreshment.  Elegant attire is encouraged for more fun. Registration is required for the tea party and is being handled online at http://bit.ly/LibKids.  No email address? Call 303-651-8477 to register by phone or stop by the Children’s Desk.

The Authors We Love Open House is a relaxed and fun atmosphere to get to know lots of creative Coloradans and maybe even get some inspiration for your own writing.  No registration is required for the general open house and all ages are welcome. See you at the “Authors We Love Open House”!

This program is part of the Longmont Public Library’s “Authors We Love” series. For more information and to learn about more upcoming author talks, visit:http://bit.ly/AuthorsWeLove.
