Six months after the introduction of its Discovery Pass program, the Longmont Public Library has added four new attractions to the program: Dinosaur Ridge National Natural Landmark, the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, the Museum of Boulder, and Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. The Discovery Passes have proven to be popular with library patrons, and the expanded offerings are sure to excite adults and children alike.

Discovery Passes are a ticket to history, art, science, culture, and nature all along the Front Range, accessible with just a library card. Thirteen destinations are currently participating, and the Library will continue to add more attractions:

· The Butterfly Pavilion

· The Clyfford Still Museum

· Denver Firefighters Museum

· Denver Museum of Nature and Science

· Dinosaur Ridge National Natural Landmark

· Fort Collins Museum of Discovery

· Golden History Museum and Park

· The Longmont Museum

· The Molly Brown House Museum

· Museum of Boulder

· The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum

· Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum

· WOW! Children’s Museum

Reserving a Discovery Pass is fast and easy. Just visit the Library’s website, locate the Discovery Passes page, decide which attraction to visit, and then click the “Reserve Your Discovery Pass” button to reserve the desired pass. Because destinations have varying operating days and hours, patrons are encouraged to review the hours and availability of the attraction before reserving a pass. Any patron with a Longmont Library Adult Resident library card can reserve a pass at no cost. Pass holders do not have to come to the Library to collect their pass, but a printed pass must be shown at the museum/venue entrance. Library staff are happy to print passes for patrons without access to a printer at home. Passes may be reserved up to 30 days in advance. One pass for each museum may be reserved once per calendar year (365 days from date of last reservation). Changes or cancellations may be made up to 24 hours in advance by calling the Library Reference Desk at 303-651-8472.

Discovery Passes offer Longmont Public Library patrons the chance to get out and learn in new environments. Knowledge may be power, but there’s no reason it can’t also be fun. So go discover what’s out there!
