Residents are invited to serve as official advisors to Longmont City Council on several boards and commissions.

These advisory groups help City Council learn about and make decisions on a wide variety of issues that affect the safety, economy and quality of life of Longmont’s residents and businesses.

Currently, there are vacancies on City Council appointed boards for 13 different boards:

  • Airport Advisory Board
  • Art in Public Places Commission
  • Board of Adjustment and Appeals
  • Board of Environmental Affairs

  • Museum Advisory Board
  • Senior Citizens’ Advisory Board
  • Transportation Advisory Board
  • Water Board

Committee members research and discuss local issues and offer recommendations to City Council. Members generally spend a few hours a month preparing for and attending meetings.

Applicants must be registered voters of Longmont for at least one year prior to being appointed and must reside inside Longmont city limits.
