Since its inception in 2004, podcasting has taken off as a portable entertainment and information medium. By some accounts, 42 million Americans over the age of 12 listen to at least one podcast per week.

In 2018, one of those popular podcasts was created and published in Denver by a local group that includes Laura Krantz. Krantz will bring the story of her podcast, "Wild Thing," to the Library for a special program entitled "The Wild World of Podcasting" on Thursday, April 4, from 7 to 8 pm.

"Wild Thing" focused on the search for Bigfoot, as well as the believers and enthusiasts who have endless theories concerning the beast's existence and origin.

Krantz will discuss Bigfoot, as well as how the podcast creators gathered content for the podcast and managed the various business aspects of this emerging industry.
