Since starting the Longmont Observer a little over 10 months ago, the one thing I've heard most people say is: I want a better Longmont event calendar.

My response: So do I!

And month after month of hearing the same thing, we decided to take a look at the fragmented mess that exists within the local event calendar world: Facebook, Eventbrite, MeetUp, an embedded Google Calendar, a self-hosted calendar, and the list goes on.

With the help of technology, we have started aggregating events from across multiple event platforms into one. There will be some bugs and kinks that will need to be ironed out. If you see any, please send us an email to [email protected].

We are also working to add events from the City of Longmont and the St. Vrain Valley Schools calendars. We have some other technology-related obstacles we need to solve but we are working on ways to solve these challenges in order to provide you with as many events in Longmont as we can.

If you have any questions or if you'd like to add your event to our calendar, drop me an email along with your event information, social media links, or other information that would allow us to link to such event information.

Cheers,
