The Longmont Downtown Development Authority, Visit Longmont and the Longmont Chamber of Commerce are rallying behind the concept of Strongmont Spirit during this difficult time.  Along with local Longmont business BBP who designed the #strongmont logo, the organizations put together a social media campaign released this morning on April 10. This campaign is a way to encourage Longmont residents, businesses, and others to show off their pride for our community in a fun way, all from the comfort of their own home.

The social campaign is simple. Longmonsters are encouraged to post a photo on social media of your favorite things in Longmont. It could be a location, business swag or gear, school apparel, take-out from a restaurant, a craft beverage or anything else you love about Longmont! All that is required to participate is to post and utilize the hashtag #Strongmont, as well as tagging Visit Longmont, Longmont Downtown Development Authority and the Longmont Chamber of Commerce. The three organizations are planning to choose a few favorites to be shared on various social media, and included in upcoming email newsletters and on the #Strongmont website: https://bit.ly/Strongmont.

The plan is to keep this campaign running through the duration of the pandemic and into the recovery period. The organizations are currently working on future plans for upcoming spirit days and social events.
