Boulder County Parks & Open Space is in need of Volunteer Angler Hosts for the summer season. The application deadline for volunteers is Friday, April 26. There are two evening trainings on May 22 and 23.

Volunteer Angler Hosts help at kids fishing clinics and family fishing events where they teach beginner fishing skills such as knot tying, casting, and fish handling. Volunteers also provide park visitors with information about fishing opportunities at the park.

Fishing clinics and fishing events take place at Cattail Pond at the Boulder County Fairgrounds and Stearns Lake at Carolyn Holmberg Preserve at Rock Creek Farm.

Volunteers must help with at least two special events between June and October. This is roughly 10 hours of volunteer service for the season.

For more information, please visit the Angler Host Volunteer page or contact [email protected] or 303-678-6219.
