For the past 150 years animals have been a part of the Boulder County Fair. Each year animals are examined by local veterinarians.

These local veterinarians have donated their time to examine animals entered into the fair. Those veterinarians include Dr. Laurie Stanley, Dr. Gal Rapport, Dr. Tom Pryor, Dr. Don Own, Dr. Charlotte Obermeier, Dr. Karen McCormick, Dr. Jessica Johnson, Dr. Kathy Gagliardi, Dr. John Flinchum, Dr. Christie Downey, Dr. Sarah Appleby, and Dr. Steve Benscheidt.
