Longmont and the surrounding area has a plethora of craft breweries. Most of these breweries have a stout or two. I have tried quite a few of them in the last five years. I have become apathetic to the taste of the stout. I started thinking the stout had become Zoolander and I had became Mugatu. "They're the same beer! Doesn't anyone notice this? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!!" Enter Left Hand Brewery and their flagship beer Milk Stout.

Left Hand's Milk Stout is not for those who have a lactose intolerance. It is so creamy and milky that you will think your mom just milked the cow herself. It is a sweet beer without giving you a sugar high. It is a coffee beer, but more like a dark Café au lait. So tasty.

Milk Stout is creamy sweet with a nice aroma of coffee. I would forget the Guinness beer for this St. Patrick's Day and go local with Left Hand's Milk Stout. Stop in their brewery and grab a six-pack for your celebration this Sunday. 4.5/5
