The Annual Interfaith Quilter Show and Sale is March 2nd

The Interfaith Quilters of Longmont is a group made up of 130 volunteers, with various degrees of experience, who produce quilts and sell them to support local charities. They host an annual event to showcase and sell their quilts.

They host an annual event to showcase and sell their quilts. The event will be held at the First Lutheran Church, located at 803 3rd Ave., Longmont.

Quilts are available for preview on Friday, March 2 from 5-8 p.m., no quilts will be sold during the preview. A donation of $5 is asked which will include Saturday's donation.

The sale begins Saturday, March 3 from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. A $1 donation is asked. Purchases of the quilts can be made using cash, check or credit card.

The theme for the quilting show is "An Encore of Us" and features a show of quilts from eight of the Interfaith Quilters members' private collections. They will be eight there to display and discuss their quilts. In addition, there will be 700 quilts from various Interfaith Quilters members for sale on Saturday. Traditionally, the Interfaith Quilters sell most of their quilts during the show.

The appraiser for the event is Certified Appraiser, Jeananne Wright. If you would like to have a quilt appraised, call Jeananne for an appointment at 303-772-7684.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit, Outreach United Resource (OUR) Center and Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley.

Interfaith Quilters welcomes new members. If you are interested in joining the group, they meet most Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church.
