National Beer Day is a holiday that is celebrated across the United States on April 7th. This day was established to not only honor the history of beer but also to celebrate the Cullen–Harrison Act – an act which allowed people to buy, sell and drink beer that had 4% alcohol by volume and was signed by FDR in 1933. The day in which it went into effect, over a million and a half barrels of beer were sold.

All that is really needed to celebrate National Beer Day is to enjoy one at your local watering holes. Below is our list of 5 Ways to Celebrate National Beer Day in Longmont:

  • Take a tour of Longmont’s craft beer scene on the Brewhop Trolley! Hop on and off the green trolley and explore some of Longmont’s best as it drops visitors off at tasting rooms around the city. The Brewhop Trolley makes a loop throughout town every hour from noon-9 p.m. Visit our craft brewers, tasting rooms, enjoy guided tours, pick up a growler or a souvenir and have a pint.
