Joseph Anderson, the suspect in the SE Longmont WalMart shooting on Sunday, July 23 was arrested (7/26/17) by the Loveland Police Department in a traffic stop. Anderson had a warrant for 2nd-degree murder in relation to the Sunday shooting death of Keith David Williams in the parking lot of Walmart at 2285 E. Ken Pratt Blvd.

Bond was set at $500,000.

This was the first shooting death ruled as a homicide in Longmont since 2015.

Anderson has a previous criminal record with two convictions, both related to the distribution of a controlled substance.

The location of the crime occurred in Weld County so all court proceedings will occur in the Greeley legal system.
