Dear St. Vrain Valley Community,
Thank you for your continued partnership and support during this challenging time for our community. We have been working closely with the Governor’s Office and our state and county health agency partners to monitor the coronavirus outbreak in order to make informed decisions regarding school operations and building access. Today, the Governor extended school building closures through April 30. During this time, our daily online learning and instruction will continue, and we will keep a close eye on any additional changes to school operations through the end of the year. We will share additional updates as soon as we learn new information that impacts our end-of-year plans.
As we continue with our online learning, I wanted to take this moment to share my deep appreciation to everyone in our community for coming together during this difficult time.
- To our students: Thank you for focusing on your learning and engaging with your teachers and peers in our online environments.
- To our families: Thank you for supporting your students at home, often while balancing and managing numerous priorities and challenges.
- To our teachers: Thank you for your creativity and dedication to supporting the academic success and well-being of our students.
- To our staff: Thank you for continuing to support our mission by preparing thousands of to-go meals, distributing over 1,000 iPads and hundreds of curriculum packets, cleaning and maintaining our buildings, and so much more.
- And lastly, to our community leaders, first responders, and healthcare providers: Thank you for keeping us safe, and ensuring resources and support for those who need it most.
I know that these are challenging times, however, I could not be more proud of how our entire community has come together to support and care for one another. As we move into next week and beyond, I will continue to keep you updated with new information as it develops. We will also continue to update our information page at www.svvsd.org/coronavirus.
