The City of Longmont and Zak Dirt, Inc. announced that a portion of Boston Ave. will be closed to traffic December 6-11. This area spans from South Pratt Parkway to Coffman.

The closure is due to the removal of existing asphalt, grading and paving the east side of the intersection.

Although detours are established via Delaware and 1st Avenue, travelers are encouraged to use South Main for the majority of their needs. Those traveling along the St. Vrain Greenway are asked to use Delaware Avenue.

South Pratt north and south will remain open. Business access on Boston Ave. west of South Pratt is accessible from South Pratt while patrons will need to use South Main to access businesses east of South Pratt.

"No vehicular, bicycle or pedestrian traffic will be allowed to cross South Pratt

at Boston during the closure," states city communication.

This road closure is part of the projcet to expand the South Pratt Parkway Bridge.
