On Tuesday, March 5, The Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC) welcomed Inn Between into Longmont with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Tim Rakow, executive director of Inn Between, gave a brief speech of thanks to all who have partnered and donated in making the vision of Inn Between a reality.

Rakow gave a brief history of how the project began. "In February 2016 the first formal conversations between representative of The First United Congregational Church of Christ and Inn Between began. The concept immediately became known as the Micah Home based on the book of Micah defending the rights of the poor and overcoming injustice." he said.

After giving thanks and listing off many of the donors and partners in the project Rakow said, "This project is a fine example of the power of collaboration and a demonstration of stamina. Some months from now we hope to gather again with the fabulous grand opening, but for today we are here to celebrate the work accomplished to get us this far. And we are almost there."

Chris McGilvray, Vice Chair of LACC Board of Directors, presented Rakow with a plaque on behalf of over 760 Chamber members to commemorate the event.

Micah Home is located at 1515 Warren Ave. Longmont, CO 80501.
