Longmont, CO: The Longmont Economic Development Partnership (EDP) awarded RedLine Athletics a $7,000 grant as part of the Advance Longmont Target Industries Grant to assist new and expanding businesses in target industries exemplifying strong economic clustering in Longmont, Colorado.

RedLine Athletics, located at 700 9th Ave is a specialized sports training center aiming to empower young student athletes in their development. Their location offers over 13,000 square feet of high performance training space that includes speed turf, a basketball/volleyball court, multiple batting cages, and a state of the art full-size weight room. Customized training programs can be developed for individual athletes as well as full teams and programs.

”When moving a new business into an older building, you have to anticipate construction hurdles will show up. That being said, we simply could not have anticipated the number of transitions this specific building has had over the years to present the number of hurdles than we ran into. This grant from the City of Longmont has allowed us to absorb some of those building maintenance and repair costs that absolutely had to be taken care of,” noted Redline Athletics owner Ryan Cox.

The Advance Longmont Target Industries Grant is designed to support Longmont’s primary and local businesses in their expansion efforts. Utilizing Envision Longmont and the Advance Longmont Target Industries, the Advance Longmont Target Industries Grant functions by attracting and supporting new and expanding businesses to the area, assisting business owners with building improvements, and assisting with the cost of permitting and licensing, regulatory compliance, equipment purchases or exterior and façade improvements. This program reimburses eligible expenses, up to the preapproved grant amount, for projects that submit an application and meet all of the criteria of the grant program. Funded by the City of Longmont, the Advance Longmont Target Industries Grant awards up to $10,000 with a priority given to businesses already established in Longmont.
