The Advance Longmont Economic Partners have created a new survey to learn about how COVID-19 is affecting the local business workforce. Last week, hundreds of Longmont businesses reported an extraordinary decrease in sales, with the retail and dining industries being some of the hardest hit. A concern shared by nearly all reporting business owners is how they can continue to support their employees. This survey aims to assess the impact on the local workforce, especially in the context of the Governor’s announcement on Sunday.

“Our first survey gave us crucial just-in-time information about our local economy that we used to effectively prioritize our response.” said Morgan Smith, Vice President of the Longmont Economic Development Partnership. “We are so grateful to the business owners who responded. This new survey is helping us to better understand their needs today as we look to funding and workforce solutions.”

Businesses are encouraged to fill out the survey as soon as possible to aid the Advance Longmont task force in enacting a rapid response.
